What We Believe

COVENANT LIFE CHURCH IS A NON-DENOMINATIONAL CHURCH THAT BELIEVES IN THE FULL MESSAGE OF THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST AND ARE COMMITTED TO LIVING IT OUT IN OUR DAILY LIVES.

Below is a list of our tenants of faith:

THE BIBLE

We believe the Bible is absolute Truth inspired by the Holy Spirit. It is the divine, authoritative message from God to the Christian. As the highest form of truth in existence, the Bible is the basis and standard for all our beliefs and practices (2 Timothy 3:16).

THE TRINITY

We believe there is one God who manifests Himself in three distinct persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19).

THE VIRGIN BIRTH

We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, born of a virgin, and conceived of the Holy Spirit. Without the virgin birth, Jesus would have been like any other man, tainted with sin and incapable of saving mankind (Isaiah 7:14).

JESUS

We believe the core of Christianity is founded upon Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

Jesus is the Perfect Sacrifice for the sins of mankind (2 Corinthians 5:21).

Jesus is the Risen Savior and Lord (Romans 10:9-10).

Jesus is the Healer (1 Peter 2:24).

Jesus is the Baptizer in the Holy Ghost (Mark 1:8, Acts 2:24).

Jesus is coming again (Matthew 24:44).

THE MINISTRY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe in the supernatural ministry of the Holy Spirit, including the nine gifts of the Spirit listed in 1 Corinthians 12:8-10. We also believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues (Acts 2:1-4).

THE MINISTRY OF THE BODY OF CHRIST

We believe God has placed within every Christian unique gifts and talents that are to be used to bless others in the Body of Christ (1 Peter 4:10).
